These photos were taken by Otto Herrala Jr. in 1981 during a trip he took to Finland. The writings by the pictures are exactly as Otto Jr. wrote them. 
Apparently Otto Sr. was married for about a year before his young wife died of TB. No one seems to know what her name was.  He came to America after she passed away.

"The remnants of the old house still stood where Dad Herrala worked as a hired hand.  Later married the farmers daughter. She died of TB in one year. They lived in the house till she died."
